Di Maria: Aguero wants to kill himself at Barcelona

Di Maria has admitted that Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero is feeling very down after the departure of Lionel Messi, who was a big reason behind him joining the Blaugrana this summer.

The last week has seen Messi's departure at Barcelona become official before he joined Di Maria at PSG, which leaves Aguero without one of his closest friends and clearly questioning his move to Barcelona.

"Kun wants to kill himself, what can you do," Di Maria said with a laugh during an interview with TyC Sports.

"Apart from all that [Messi leaving Barcelona], the worst thing is that he got injured again and will be out for several weeks. That's the saddest thing."

Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo is another player that was linked with a switch to PSGearlier in the summer, with reports now claiming that he could join on a free in 2022, and Di Mariathinks he will have regrets about not being able to play his football at the Parc des Princes not football.

Cristiano must want to kill himself for not being here [at PSG]," he noted.

"The quality and quantity of players that PSGhave now is unique. It doesn't often happen at clubs and the great players always want to be with the best.

"Cristiano surely wants to be here, but they brought Messi and luckily he's much better."

Messi and Di Maria are good friends, and the latter waxed lyrical when asked about the 34-year-old's talent.

"For me, honestly it's very easy to play with him [Messi]. If you run, he passes the ball to you and it falls at your feet," he explained.

"There are no excuses for anything. I have an excellent relationship with him on and off the pitch. It's easy to see what he wants.

"Messi is from another world. You kick a stone at him and he stops it, he passes you like it's nothing, he thinks before the other guy. I've never seen anything like it.

"I played with Cristiano, Neymar, [Kylian] Mbappe, [Wayne] Rooney, [Robin] Van Persie, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, [Karim] Benzema, [Gareth] Bale and honestly I've never seen anything like it. He's unique, Leo.
